extremely understandable! I’m skimming 18 lessons from Father Pacifique’s grammar right now, and totally wish I was drawing cats instead. :(
Ah yes, Father Pacifique’s “Grammer” :P Although I am pretty sure you can avoid it by drawing Zadie as one of your French girls! (That is, if she’s being a good cat and not peeing everywhere). Wait, on that note, BRB, drawing Zadie as one of your French girls (Note: may not be posted until tomorrow because of things named ‘sleep’).
Two cats.
I should be writing a Märchen for my German class right now, but drawing turned out to be a lot more interesting/fun.

Look! It’s (finally) colored! Would have done this earlier had I been actually caught up with school.
Looks like I forgot my tablet in Montréal, so I won’t be able to color this until much later. In the meantime, here’s the inks!
And in case you’re wondering, the translation of the quote is “To always tell it, to always remove that annoying tickle from your stomach,” and it’s from Las babas del diablo, or Blow Up in English.
And yes, I know that the titles aren’t direct translations. :P
January Dailies: Day 4
Ok, so this isn’t anything spectacular (I’ve got a lot going on this week) - just a little pencil sketch of a character that’s been floating around in my head. Her name is Sam (just Sam - it isn’t short for anything).
January Dailies: Day 3
Whoops, I missed a day in there! Looks like I owe you one…
In any case, I figured it’d be appropriate to finally do some art that has to do with Dandy Red Scharlach - the villain in “Death & the Compass” by Jorge Luis Borges. If you haven’t read this story yet, you should! It’s like someone took a detective story and flipped it on its head.
So, after posting all of 3 pictures in August, I promptly abandoned this tumblr in favor of schoolwork. Whoops… Sorry everyone!
BUT.
THAT’S ALL GOING TO CHANGE.
My goal for January is to do a doodle (or more) a day - I really miss having time for just art, so I figured I’d make time for myself this way. Here’s hoping it works… (I’m notoriously bad at following through with daily goals like this).
